Carbohydrates,
Sugars, Proteins
Food
is the basis of all poetry
yet
if in excess
atrophies
and degenerates any and all
creative
act. It was said
of
a bum wondering the streets
of
Tenderloin, which
turned
famous among his pals, for his
free
triplets and
quatrains
-
nearly
as much as he
his
writings, doodled on pizza boxes
used
napkins and sometimes
paper,
recycled and smooth
arose
wide open before the eyes of Muni
users,
at bus stops
and
to less wary to these
forms
of expression passersby, in
waste
containers - it was said
his
writings quenched his
soul
and body part, that
more
apt
to
absorption, oblivion and given
to
metabolism's
benevolence
-
a
mistake - flesh aims for
flesh
firstly
the soul yearns
for
water and food
and
poetry is born - when it happens
and
it wants – from the digestion of
pure
carbohydrates, sugars, proteins,
be
it in a gourmet condition
or
in the end of its days.
