Mr Masumi's Thought

Mr Masumi's Thought

«There is something slippery about words, once they're written, their gleam...»

was abruptly interrupted as his feet immersed in the basin's salty water -the warmth eradicating from his toes to his upper legs, reaching just below the pelvic region -

and later while his body adapted to the touch of the masseuse, those vertical feelings, safely distant as ceiling flecks behind mist.

« however sweet, this blindness might kill as gravity »

Her hands gloomed in oil. His body stilled his head under the flat of her hands, became a narrow shadow of him self. There was room for silence, though in between far off noises arrived at him with augmented physical perception.

« parallel water flowing down the walls, slowly filling the landscape »

On the way back home, he sat by the window, engaging in the late afternoon traffic. Buses hurried by, among small cars, dogs and bicycle carts. People cued on sidewalks, waiting upon their turns. His mind felt idle, sweat drops began falling.

« the same about faces, the way we look and bring forth certain lines, measures, relations, ignoring others, inducing deception »

He noticed a young woman and her child had taken the place up his front, the evidence of life making it all so irrelevant – his thoughts against breasts and lips were nothing - a mere record of the journey's log.

Journey Through

Journey Through

It's terrible when your background image becomes stronger than the reality behind it

dulled acid filaments
melting
wired lanes
randomly

depot of memories

it's terrible when your mind absorbs all those pictures of rough life events, cutting, polishing, re-framing them into a scenic amalgam that you set as your background diversion tool

in hope of

temporarily
expanding your illusion
of past
into the future.

Is this not
what we all do?

Perverting time in order
to make present
arise from its static
singular
nature.

Debouchment Studies III

Debouchment Studies III

City buses can be a great place to fall
literally or in love with

A parallel mix of fugitive lines
speeding up in tedious rituals
enmeshed labyrinths hiding
neighborhoods lingerie classics against
faded yellow houses on the verge of knowing
gravity

Before getting in do not forget to
obliterate your ticket

This city is a river. An Immense
water surface
rippled behind it's margins
meshing every air particle
with a unique
luminosity
crowned by pine trees
blended to the rhymes of
Atlantic impetus
forging the soul of her
seven hills

Sometimes memories wipe themselves
out. Window seats are the best;

Although there is a general concern
the clock is ticking likewise
sun raises from east
to the sound of staid faces confirming
the hour -
happiness will wait
while taverns go open in
decent morning cleanness
the smell of coffee will pour through
narrow streets in metric scale
widened after p.m. with lewd estuary's
breeze

strangely
there's never a collector on sight

fate is an excuse
we like to adore
no matter what
we'll drink to it
we'll sing our sad songs
after midnight comes
unveiled in communal acceptance
blurred by cigarette smoke
juicy intimacy
and a wasted love
waiting

Running for their last minute's drive
taxis should be avoided too

it all ends up with a view
a hand drawing a future there
far behind windows or
long after present waters clash
into the open sea
before dawn threats with
promises squirting west-like adrenaline
we'll be all dreaming
bizarre corpses on a reckless
indefinite
journey
